The Russian artist describes the linking of cultural codes in his paintings MIR (Aleksey Mirnij) aptly as »Inforealism«. Graphic messages that appear familiar speak directly to the viewer in front of multi-layered backgrounds that are highly dense in color. In the interplay with the terms, slogans and questions inserted in Cyrillic script, however, references emerge that give the apparently familiar a disturbing dimension of depth.
